Elegance elevated: the all-new 2021 Toyota Venza

June 2021
4 min read
A grey Venza sits on the corner of a street next to a bright blue building.
In 2015, there was the Toyota Venza – a vehicle modeled after the Camry with a low-slung body and gas-powered engine.

But in 2021, after a six-year hiatus, the Venza is back with a major automotive facelift.

Now with an exclusively hybrid powertrain, the 2021 Toyota Venza comes in three trim levels: LE, XLE and Limited. With estimated retail prices from $32,470 to $39,800, the Venza gives you a luxury experience.

The Venza comes with a lot to love, including a 219-horsepower engine and electronic on-demand all-wheel drive. Its estimated fuel economy is 39 miles per gallon, and it can hold more than 70 cubic feet of storage – or about 18 average moving boxes – when the second row is folded flat.

But the Venza also comes with other features, some of which have never been seen in a Toyota before. Here’s a look at some of the reasons this midsize two-row vehicle has been called “elegance elevated.”
The Venza is back and better than ever!

Comfort, convenience and class
With a soundproofed interior, a trunk that opens automatically with a kick sensor, a wireless phone charging station, and heated/ventilated front seats on select models, Toyota designed the Venza with the driver’s comfort and convenience in mind.

A new feature brings that quality to windows, too – the available Star GazeTM panoramic glass roof.

A first for a Toyota vehicle, this roof can change from transparent to frosted at the push of a button. While frosted, the glass reduces direct sunlight from above while still lighting the cabin. Like you, the Venza also knows that sound quality is just as important as light quality. The standard six-speaker Audio Plus system provides clean and clear sound, connecting via Bluetooth.

The vehicle is also compatible with services like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. All Venzas also come with a free three-month trial to SiriusXM Satellite Radio. These services and more can be controlled on an 8-inch, easy-to-reach touch screen.
With the Venza's touchscreen, you can easily access music, calls, messages, GPS systems and more.

Taking audio enjoyment to the next level, the XLE model can be equipped with JBL Premium Audio, a nine-speaker system with a rear subwoofer ready to blast your favorite bass music. Right now, it’s the most powerful audio system in a Toyota, with the speakers custom-designed to work best acoustically within the cabin’s specific curves and dimensions. The Limited model automatically comes with this upgrade, which has a 12.3-inch touchscreen. It is an available package on the XLE grade.

But all the perks in the world wouldn’t matter if the Venza couldn’t keep you safe – which is why it’s designed to do just that.

Safety first
There’s a reason the 2021 Venza received a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

All Venzas come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, a series of built-in safety systems. Included in this suite is dynamic radar cruise control, which sets the vehicle’s speed while reacting to the speed of other cars in real-time, and the lane departure alert, which steers the vehicle back into its lane if the driver wavers.

The Venza also focuses on protecting other people too. It alerts the driver when it senses objects – like other cars or pedestrians – close to the car in both drive and reverse, braking automatically if they don’t.

The Venza comes with a lot to love, including a 219-horsepower engine and electronic on-demand all-wheel drive.
With the Venza, stressing about passengers or luggage blocking the rearview mirror is a thing of the past. Multiple cameras help the driver better see the space around the car, including the blind spot monitor that comes standard on every model. The XLE comes with front and rear camera parking assist and automatic brakes. The Limited trim adds a bird’s eye view camera with perimeter scan, which lets you see a 360-degree overhead view of the vehicle and its surroundings.

If you do get into an accident, don’t fret. Each Venza also comes with a free one-year trial of Toyota Safety Connect, which can automatically detect when the airbags go off and help the driver contact emergency services right away. 24/7 roadside assistance is also available for emergency support, or to help locate stolen vehicles with GPS technology.

And if that weren’t enough, the Venza also is a friend of the environment.

Eco-friendly driving
As we enter the age of sustainable energy, the Venza is at the forefront of hybrid technology. Its lithium-ion battery is more efficient than before and small enough to be installed under seats instead of taking up space inside the cabin.
The Venza uses Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive technology to give you a ride that is both satisfying and efficient.

The Venza turns saving fuel into a game with its Hybrid System Indicator, a screen that tells the driver what speed is best for eco-driving in a fun scoring system. The entire car can even operate in an eco-mode, which changes the throttle to maximize mileage.

The Venza has a memory, which it puts to good use to reduce energy consumption. Predictive Efficient Drive can analyze road conditions and driving habits to predict where the vehicle will stop or slow, automatically prepping the hybrid battery to charge faster and more efficiently after the accelerator pedal is off. This way, you save more gas and relax your footprint on the environment at the same time.

No warranty worries
With the Venza’s warranties, you don’t have to worry about forking over an excessive amount of money if something goes wrong.

A basic new-car warranty applies to all components for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Other warranties protect the hybrid technology for eight years or 100,000 miles, and the hybrid battery for 10 years or 150,000 miles. The power mechanics, which includes almost everything between the engine and the wheels, are also covered for 60,000 miles.

Standard maintenance is also included for two years or 25,000 miles through ToyotaCare. Roadside Assistance, a 24-hour service that provides helpful services like jump-starts, tire fixes, towing and emergency fuel delivery for two years, is also covered.
